Upma has always been my favorite, either rava upma or semya upma or upma kozhukattai or any upma thing. Now the oatmeal is as popular as breakfast dishes, mainly because of its health benefits, and it can be cooked in a jiffy. Oatmeal is a healthy and delicious dish made with oats and mixed vegetables. Today let’s learn how to prepare oats upma follow this simple oat plant upma recipe.

Oats – 1/2 cups
Rava / sooji – 1/4 cups
Onion – 1
Green Pepper – 1 chopped
Ginger – 1 inch pieces of chopped
Mixed vegetables – 1 cup (carrots, beans, peas, cauliflower, potatoes, peppers)
Water 3/4 cups
Salt as needed
Oil – 1 tablespoon
Mustard seed 1 teaspoon
Urad dal – 1/2 teaspoon
Red pepper -1
Curry leaves are few
Dry the oatmeal for a few minutes until you become a slight touch.
Dry roast turkey too. Skip this step if using roast rava.
Heat the oil in the pan, add mustard seed, and add the rest of the ingredients mentioned in the seasoning.
Then add chopped green onions, green peppers, ginger and fry until the onion becomes translucent.
Add all the vegetables, cook for a few minutes, then add 3/4 cups of water and salt.
When the water boils, reduce the flame, stir continuously, cook until half.
Then add oats, cover and cook until finished. (Oats need less time and less water to cook, so you can add it, after cooking half cooked).
Enjoy delicious oatmeal with any sesame variety or samba variety.
